Volunteerism: Eagle Scouts

Senior Seph Trageser recently completed his Eagle Scout project and became the sixth Chatham Charter student to have chosen a project that enhanced the Chatham Charter campus. Seph, along with other Scouts from Troop 93, built eight benches that are now located between the two soccer fields for spectators. Seph, a Knights soccer player, commented how rewarding it is to get positive feedback for a project he is enthusiastic about and seeing how appreciative fans are to have the benches at the fields.

In addition to Seph, several Chatham Charter students have dedicated their Eagle Scout projects to campus improvements. In 2004 as a middle school student, Curtis David provided a school sign with landscaping. Brenton Hart (Class of 2017) cut the initial cross country trail in 2013. Justin White (Class of 2016) constructed and installed benches in the baseball dugouts in 2014. Landon Oakley (Class of 2021) built and installed a ticket booth for the new athletic complex. Silas Christenbury (Class of 2023) designed and built elaborate bat racks for the home baseball and softball dugouts.
