State Cross Country Achievements

The Knights men’s cross country team and sophomore Emily Scheidt from the women’s team ran in the 64th annual NCHSAA 1A state championship meets on Friday, October 31, in Kernersville.

Junior Torris Price, who ran the fastest race in all of the east regional races last week, finished as state 1A men’s runner-up in 2nd place with a time of 16:30. By placing in the top 10, he also earned All-State honors. (See Torris coming to the finish line in the video below.)

Of the 16 men’s teams, Chatham Charter finished in 6th place. The Knight’s have had many individuals qualify for the state meet over the years, but 2025 is the first time the school has had a team qualify.

Emily had an impressive race, passing another runner near the finish line to take 11th place with a time of 22:30:7.

Congratulations to all of the Knights runners and Coach Danny Martin on achieving at this level!
