State Beta Results

The Beta Club state convention had to be adjusted in early 2026 due to inclement weather, so competitive events shifted to an online submission format. During an awards ceremony published this week, Chatham Charter’s chapter learned its members earned six awards. They are:

1st Place – Poetry D1 – Sophie Lukomski

1st Place – Color Photography D1 – Abby Semrad

1st Place – Woodworking D1 – Addison Daniels

3rd Place – 2D Design – Kynzie Jordan, Remas Shreef, Jody Shreef & Aaliyah Walden

5th Place – Technology – Remas Shreef, Jody Shreef, Kymani Wagner-Jatta & Sam Wilson

7th Place – Musicology – Andrew Bednar, Mady Bozzo, Ashleigh Payne & Camille Alston

These students, in addition to the students who placed at an earlier Leadership Summit, are eligible to compete at the National Beta Convention in Nashville, TN in June, giving Chatham Charter 15 students totally who qualified. They also have the chance to compete in some national convention-only events, so the school could have a group as large as 32 depending on interest.

Photographs of the state awards may be added to this post later as they become available.
