Senior Beta Advisors Receive National Award
Congratulations to the Chatham Charter Senior Beta Club advisors, Amber Crossman and Kara Root, who have received 2025-2026 Educator of Excellence awards, earning the recognition for their work as National Beta advisors. To qualify sponsors must focus on club growth by achieving National Beta School of Distinction and School of Merit status. They must be committed to leadership and character development by bringing students to National Beta events. Finally, they must have focused on the National Beta motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others, by leading their club to earn a National Beta service hour award.
The Educator of Excellence award is the highest honor offered to National Beta advisors. Only 170 of over 20,000 advisors received the honor this year. They come from only 60 of over 14,000 clubs across the country and beyond. All Educator of Excellence recipients receive a lapel pin and certificate as a symbol of their accomplishment.
“I’m very happy to work with such an amazing group of students. They are excited about service and want to be involved in all that the National Beta Club has to offer. They are the reason why I’ve received this award! They make all the organizing, fundraising, and planning worth it. I really enjoy seeing them come into our school as freshmen and watching them grow into amazing leaders by the time they reach their senior year. I’m really proud of all their hard work,” said Ms. Crossman.
“I love watching the students grow and change over the four years, becoming leaders in the community and finding meaningful ways to give back to those around them,” commented Ms. Root.
