School Community Event

Friday Knight Lights

The Sports and Entertainment Marketing class, in collaboration with DECA, is proud to present the first‑ever Friday Knight Lights event. Everyone is invited to attend Friday Knight Lights on May 8th as the school community celebrates the end of the year and provides a send-off for the Class of 2026. High school students are especially encouraged to participate and help make this a memorable evening. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m with food trucks, cornhole, volleyball, and music. A high school flag football tournament will follow shortly after, giving students an opportunity to compete, connect, and celebrate the close of the school year.

While the tournament and movie are targeted towards high school students, organizers encourage the broader school community to attend and be part of the event. The outdoor activities, music, and food trucks are open to all attendees to enjoy.

Following the tournament, high school students are invited to stay for an outdoor movie showing of Teen Beach. Food trucks will be on-site offering meals, snacks, and desserts. Quesabirria Tia Clau is confirmed, with one to two additional vendors to be announced.

Admission: $5
Tickets will be available at the gate or online through the DECA website. High school students who want to reserve their flag football spot can also register on the DECA website, and this will also serve as their admission. Seniors and staff can reserve their spot/admission through those links for free.

Complimentary shirts for tournament participants and event elements such as the movie are made possible through the generous support of local sponsors.
