Knights Family Weekend
October 4, 2024
We Are #uKnighted!
The annual Knights Family Weekend is set for October 4, 2024. Join us for a weekend of Knights family fun with Friday dances for grades 3-5 and 6-8, DECA's 3rd annual Haunted (and not-so-haunted) Trail; a cookout with our Athletic Boosters; the limited-time return of Castle Café; a band performance; a dunking booth, cake walk, colorful hairstyles and games by the PTSA and of course -- fireworks!
This weekend is being planned by the students and families, for the students and families, so come out and support DECA, the Athletic Boosters, Senior Beta Club, PTSA and the Chatham Charter Knights Band. The annual event aims to do the majority of fundraising for school organizations during this weekend. This year's Knights Family Weekend t-shirt is designed by senior Austin Hill and created and fulfilled by Castle Creations and Marketing students. All shirts ordered by 9/27 will be delivered to students' homerooms by Friday, October 4.

Dance Parties for Grades 3-5 & 6-8
The Senior Beta Club is hosting a dance party for students in grades 3-5 immediately following dismissal in the multipurpose room and grades 6-8 in the gym. Middle schoolers will be able to purchase treats from the Castle Cafe pop-up store, while 3-5 grade students will have light snacks provided. Admission is $6 per student for each dance. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online through Infinite Campus. (No walk-ups) Click here for directions to order tickets.
Community Service: Shoe Drive and Raffle for Hurricane Relief
One of the primary focal areas of the Senior Beta Club is service. The chapter will have a donation dropoff at Knights Family Weekend so bring gently used shoes to support their drive. Beta will also hold a raffle of several donated gift baskets with proceeds going to Red Cross of NC to support hurricane relief efforts in western NC.
Knights Athletic Boosters Cookout & Raffles
Bring your appetite, because the Athletic Boosters are selling chicken and hot dog dinners beginning at 3:30 outside the gym. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
PTSA
Come get your chance to dunk a Chatham Charter staff member, change your haircolor, or win a cake with the PTSA! Tickets will be on sale at the event for $1 each, and tickets will be collected at each PTSA station. Cash, card or check accepted at the event. Additional items can be found here.
DECA's Haunted (& Not-So-Haunted) Trail
Come walk the Chatham Charter Haunted Trail from 6:30-9:30 pm. Timed entry tickets are available online for $10 and can either be presented on mobile devices or printed at home. The Not-So-Haunted Trail (NSHT) time span is 3:30-4:30 pm and will delight the younger kids. While the NSHT attraction is a free event, donations are always appreciated!
Castle Café
DECA's Castle Café will return for a pop-up limited time opening for the duration of the event on Friday to serve smoothies, frappes, iced coffee drinks and hot chocolate.
Chatham Charter Band Performance
At 5:45 pm, come hear the sounds of the Chatham Charter Band as they hold a free performance on the baseball field. The music will feature middle and high school students, and will include new selections.
Fireworks
