It's a Great Weekend to be a Knight
The annual Knights Family Weekend is set for October 6-8, 2022. Join us for a weekend starting Thursday with Dig Pink volleyball, Friday dances for grades 3-5 and 6-8, Haunted (and not-so-haunted) Trail, a cookout, concessions, Castle Café, a band performance, baseball and more! This weekend is being planned by the students and families, for the students and families, so come out and support DECA, the Athletic Boosters, Senior Beta Club, fifth grade musicians, and the Chatham Charter Knights Band.
Thursday, October 6
The Knights volleyball teams will hold their annual Dig Pink volleyball game on Thursday, October 6. Games begin at 4pm, and all who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer and cancer receive free admission. Activities include a raffle, silent auction and bake sale. T-shirts to support this effort can be purchased here.
Friday, October 7
Dance Parties for Grades 3-5 & 6-8
Students in grades 3-5 will have a dance party sponsored by Chatham Charter DECA immediately following dismissal in the multipurpose room while grades 6-8 will have one sponsored by the Sr. Beta Club in the gym. Light snacks will be provided. Admission is $5 per student and can be purchased here for 3-5 and here for 6-8.
DECA's Castle Café will be open for the duration of the event on Friday. Browse the menu and place orders for pickup here.
Knights Athletic Boosters Cookout
Bring your appetite because the Athletic Boosters are selling chicken tender and hot dog dinners beginning at 4:30. Bring chairs or blankets and picnic with us. Cash and credit will be accepted.
DECA's Haunted (& Not-So-Haunted) Trail
Come walk the Chatham Charter Haunted (& Not-So-Haunted) Trail from 4:30-8:30. Admission is $3 and can be purchased during the event. The trail covers almost a half mile of the cross country trail and is planned and manned by Chatham Charter DECA students. The Not-So-Haunted Trail is 4:30-6 and the Haunted Trail from 6:30-8:30.
Chatham Charter Band Performance
At 6:15, come hear the sounds of the Chatham Charter Band as they perform at 6:15. They will feature middle and high school students, and will end with the Star Spangled Banner.
It's a battle for bragging rights between some of our baseball and softball players, starting immediately following the band performance. Admission is free.
At dusk, take a walk to Chatham Charter's soccer and softball complex to watch the annual signature fireworks show.
Saturday, October 8
5k Color Run and 1mi Fun Run
Saturday morning will be a colorful one as Chatham Charter DECA brings back the popular Color Run. With both a 5k race and 1mi fun run option, this is a great event for the whole family. Register by September 30 here for the 5k color run or here for the 1mi fun run and get your commemorative shirt to run in.
