New School Year Info
The Chatham Charter administration and staff are planning for the first student day of the 2025-2026 school year on Thursday, August 7. Kindergarteners should follow the staggered start schedule they will receive at Open House. Resources in this post will help families be well prepared.
• 11th Grade Family Night and 9th Grade Orientation: Thursday, July 31 (The 11th grade event will begin at 5:30 pm. in the elementary multipurpose room, followed by the 9th grade orientation at 6:30 pm in the high school lobby.)
• Open House: Tuesday, August 5 (K-5: 4:00-5:15 pm; grades 6-12: 5:45-7:00 pm)
• Middle School Family Orientation (grades 6-8): Tuesday, August 12, at 6:00 pm
• 12th Grade Family Night: Tuesday, August 19, at 6:00 pm
Time Sensitive Items
High school fall sports tryouts can begin on Wednesday, July 30. Middle school fall sports tryouts will begin on Tuesday, August 12. Forms must be submitted before a student can tryout. Knights Athletics uses digital participation forms. DragonFly will need to be used for paperwork instead of turning in hard copies.
Students in grades 6-9 order uniforms for physical education classes. The deadline to order for the first semester is Tuesday, August 12.
The state requires kindergarten, seventh, and twelfth graders to have certain immunizations completed by 30 days after the first student day of a school year. Contact School Nurse Dawn Murphy (dmurphy@chathamcharter.org) if needed.

School Lunch
Lunch orders are now open for the fall semester. Orders can be placed at mymealorder.com. New students will not be able to create a MyMealOrder account until a student id number is assigned to them. School lunches are pre-order only and must be ordered 10 days in advance. The last day to order lunch for the first day of school was Monday, July 28.
Regarding free or reduced lunch, each student’s lunch status from last school year will remain the same for the first 30 days of school or until a new lunch application is submitted. Free and reduced lunch applications will be available at Open House and will also be sent home during the first week of school. Contact Brittany Smith at bsmith@chathamcharter.org with any questions.
