The Class of 2027 is already making the most of their final year of high school. From a formal portrait session on August 4th to the August 6th Senior Sunrise early on the first morning of school, the seniors are experiencing a noticeable difference in the start of this school year. The campus rock has a new design in their honor, and many of the students have left a personal touch signature on the back side. They are relishing the last year of high school athletics and are making impacts on the Knights fields and courts as the fall sports season has opened. Academically, the first week of school involved acclimating to high school classes and participating in seminars filled with topics to help them have an outstanding senior year and also be well prepared for post-secondary endeavors. Having alumni return and share insights with the classes that follow is always a highlight in the beginning of semesters. August 13th marked the beginning of many of the college level courses upperclassmen take through the NC Career and College Promise at Central Carolina Community College (CCCC). Senior Family Night on August 18th provides key information for seniors and their families to have clear timelines and tips for navigating the 12th grade year. As a new tradition, the school is offering seniors the opportunity to personalize their assigned parking spaces. This privilege allows the students to express their personalities, interests, creativity, and school spirit while creating a lasting memory of their senior year.
