Looking Back: Construction of the High School

header

During the first few months of 2013, construction began on a high school building at Chatham Charter. In 1997, the school was one of the first K-8 public charter schools in the state. The long-range plan of the Board of Directors was to add a high school expansion. That became a reality with a planning year in 2012 and the expansion opening in August of 2013 for 9th and 10th grades. The first class graduated in 2016. The building has also been used since it opened for 7th and 8th graders to have art, French, and marketing electives in the afternoons in addition to the classes high school students are taking. The gallery below takes viewers back in time to the building construction stage.
