Knights Basketball Teams Win Championships

All four Chatham Charter basketball teams finished their conference seasons with a clean sweep. The high school women’s and men’s basketball teams finished as Central Tar Heel 1A Conference Tournament and regular season champions. Additionally, the Knights celebrated quite a individual honors, including:

• Conference Coaches of the Year: Jeff Patterson (Women) & Jason Messier (Men)
• Conference Player of the Year: Tamaya Walden (Women) & Adam Harvey (Men)

Their seasons will continue in the state playoffs.

Both middle school girls’ and boys’ teams, coached by Shonder Sutton, finished as Mid-State Conference Tournament and regular season champions. The girls finished the season with one loss, and the boys were undefeated.
