The 2023 Fall athletic season is underway with lots of activity and new leadership. Jason Messier has been named the new Athletic Director, stepping into the vacancy left by Clint Fields’ placement on the Central Services Team. He will continue to serve as the Varsity Men’s Basketball Head Coach. Assisting Messier is Rachel Smith, a 2019 alum, who will also be teaching 6th grade Success and Senior Seminar. She will also continue as Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer team. Listen here for an interview with Mr. Messier.

In addition to the regularly scheduled sports schedule, several teams are hosting camps, including baseball and softball.

Chatham Charter Knights Baseball Camp

Our Knights Varsity Baseball team will be hosting three separate baseball camps for which second through eighth graders are invited to register. The camp dates are September 16, September 23, and September 30 from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Cost will be $35 per camper for a single Saturday or $90 for all three dates. Participants do not have to be Chatham Charter students to participate in the camp. Register here.

Chatham Charter Knights Softball Camp

Our Knights Varsity Softball team will be hosting a softball camp for which second through sixth graders are invited to register. The camp will be held on September 30 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Cost will be $30 per camper, which includes a camp t-shirt. Participants do not have to be Chatham Charter students to participate in the camp. Register here.

Tennis Courts Resurfaced

Finally, enjoy some pictures of our Varsity Women’s tennis team taking the courts for the first time since they were resurfaced in August. Tennis courts typically require resurfacing every five to eight years, but this marks the first time the courts have been resurfaced since they were first installed in 2013.

Please be sure to keep up with athletic schedules here. Additionally, all families of student athletes are encouraged to support the Knights Athletic Boosters. There are many opportunities to volunteer, including concessions, Knights Family Weekend, communications, community relations and more.
