Holiday Door Contest
Classrooms across campus welcomed students and helped encourage holiday cheer by having holiday-themed doors. Some teachers created designs themselves while others involved students in the process. The obvious theme was the December holidays, but several doors included the subject areas of the classroom or elements related to that grade level. Competitive spirit was also part of the activity with door winners from each building a panel of judges rating each door for aspects like creativity, amount of holiday spirit it invoked, and special effects. The elementary building winner was Mrs. Rippe’s Polar Express door; the middle school building winner was Mrs. Childress’s reindeer door; and the high school building winner was Mrs. Eldridge’s elf door.
