First State Champion!

It’s a FIRST STATE CHAMPION for the Knights! We congratulate and celebrate junior Torris Price for his incredible success at the NC High School Athletic Association 1A/2A Indoor Track State Championship in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, February 11. Not only did he win one event, he won two events—-the 1000m and 1600m races. A gifted runner, Torris was also the state runner-up last fall in the 1A cross country championship meet. His double victory to finish the winter season of indoor track is an exciting and historic day for Knights athletics.

The 2026 indoor track state meet proved to be a great day overall for the Knights team. The 4x800m relay team of Eli Coleman, Torris, Andrew Bednar, and Adam Reese finished in 4th place. Eli Coleman earned 5th place in the 1000m event. The team of Tyler Lazarek, Josh Hayes, Adam, and Eli came in 10th in the 4x400m relay.
