2023 Staff Honors

Two members of the Chatham Charter staff have been recognized by their colleagues as 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year and Teacher Assistant of the Year. Katie English, a third grade teacher, is the Teacher of the Year. She has worked at the school for the past five years and, after finishing a graduate degree in school administration, has helped coordinate an elementary summer academic enrichment program and the school’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework. The Teacher Assistant of the Year is Emily Carlyle,  a second grade teacher assistant who attended Central Carolina Community College and has impacted the lives of many Chatham Charter students over the last twenty years at the school.
