Each fall, when eighth graders have an art elective class, one of their projects is to choose a character and create a cardboard cartoon cutout. Middle and high school art teacher Kelly Eldridge noted that she enjoys observing which cartoon characters students choose and how they range from traditional to contemporary. The students completed the project as September ended. All of the characters will soon be on display in the elementary building media center for their peers and younger students to enjoy.
