Athletics Overview

Inspiring lifelong competitors

Chatham Charter Knights Athletics offers more than 30 sports teams over the course of three seasons for students in grades 6-12. Middle school teams participate in the Mid-Piedmont Conference while high school teams are in the NC High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 1A Central Tar Heel Conference. Campus facilities include a gym, baseball field, softball field, two soccer fields, a cross country course, a practice track, and six tennis courts.

Athletic administration and coaches reinforce Chatham Charter's academic expectations by having minimum grade requirements for participation. Families with students of all ages are encouraged to take an active role in the Athletic Boosters organization to ensure strong support and resources are in place to sustain an outstanding athletic program. In 2020, Knights Athletics added a Parent Code of Conduct to accompany its Student Athletic Handbook.

Game and Match Entry

Knights fans and visitors pay for admission to ticketed middle and high school home games online. Home game individual ticket prices are $7 and must be purchased through GoFan. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the event entrance, where athletic staff will have QR codes posted to connect to the online ticket hub.

Chatham Charter Athletics Passes are good for all home games in all sports except playoff games. Knights pass costs are $150/adult, $50/student, and $400/family (5). Spirit Gear

The Knights Athletic Boosters heard your call for more Knights apparel and accessories, resulting in not one, but two online stores to meet your needs as well as returning profits to the Boosters organization to support Athletics. Both stores will be open year-round and ship to your home.

The first store is run by M2, a local store in Pittsboro, and features four limited edition designs that can be ordered on several items, from t-shirts to hoodies and hats. For every item sold, Boosters receives $5-10 per item.
The second store is run by one of our athletics vendors, BSN, and features a wide product assortment, many personalization options, including specific sports teams and fan designations such as proud parent or alumni, and many popular name brands. Ten percent of all sales will return to the Boosters.
