Annual Veterans Event

On Thursday morning, November 7, Chatham Charter School held activities honoring military service. The annual event included age appropriate sessions for elementary, middle and high school grades in which approximately 30 veterans and active duty service members participated. It allowed the school to express appreciation to those who serve their country and helped students become more aware of skills learned in military fields. The 2024 event also included a UNC Medical Center Carolina Air Care helicopter visit and conversations with its crew and experienced military pilots, a new ceremony attended by elementary students, and a DECA state service project.
