A Spirited Thanks
Castle Creations, our student-led enterprise through DECA, is producing a new Knights t-shirt for the entire Chatham Charter community. The goal is for every student to have a shirt, helping promote unity across our K–12 student body, faculty, and staff while building continued pride in being a Knight. More than a spirit item, the shirts serve as a small token of appreciation to everyone who helps make our school shine each day. At the same time, students in Castle Creations are gaining real-world experience in design, marketing, and production as they lead the project from start to finish.
Principal Crayton shared, “Our goal is simple: every student has a Knights shirt, created and made by our students, that helps unite our K–12 community—students, faculty, and staff—around a shared sense of pride. It’s a small token of appreciation for the people who make Chatham Charter shine, and it’s part of how we keep sharpening the sword as we strengthen our school culture and results.”
The distribution of the t-shirts coincided with an awards celebration on Friday, January 16, for K-8 students that recognized outstanding achievements during the fall semester. The design was created by Fall Honors Marketing I students Sophia Davis (junior) and Ally Rae Rogers (freshman) as part of a class assignment that was voted on by students and then sent to school leaders for feedback and approval.
