Each year students in early elementary grades look forward to reaching the 100th day of school. Teachers find fun ways of counting up to the day and guide their students in showcasing a variety of activities incorporating the number 100.

Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day with centers for making a 100-item trail mix, completing 100 exercises, and making a hat with 100 dots. Students also brought in 100 items in which they counted out by 10’s and shared items with classmates.

Mrs. Clark’s first grade class made creative posters to celebrate the 100th day. During math centers they wrote about what they would buy if they had $100. Mrs. Osborne’s first grade class had an assignment of putting 100 items on a poster and counting them as they presented their creations to the class. They also enjoyed a coin flip activity and working on a 100-piece puzzle. Student in both classes also made 100-day hats and enjoyed a 100-day snack.

Second graders had a fun and engaging day celebrating the 100th day of school by dressing up as if they were 100 years old. Students enjoyed working on various activities centered around the number 100.
